Product Overview
Spring Vale is situated at Cranbrook, north of Swansea on Tasmania's East Coast. The Lyne family has been at ''Spring Vale' since 1875. Rodney and Lyn Lyne planted the first vineyard in 1986. Traditionally a sheep farm, Spring Vale is now primarily a vineyard, with black Angus cattle offering a solid safety net for lesser viticultural seasons... The number one rule at Spring Vale is that life si to be enjoyed.
"We work hard an relax even harder, However, we do have several core goals which we aim for, and that is to produce the highest quality wines possible". "Aperto vivere voto" is featured as part of the Lyne family seal - it means "Live for your dreams".
Tasting Notes
Ruby violet in colour. Toasty oak, spicy black cherries, licorice, dried herbs and earth. Seamless, flowing palate with upfront punch and creamy, yet juicy palate. Velvety tannins with impressive length.
Nice nose - floral notes, mineral, earth, touches of bramble, sweet red fruits - cherries and berries - with a sprinkle of spice and bramble. Almost Burg-like until the sweetness hits you. The palate was ripe and round, simple red fruit flavours, perfumy florals, a bit confected, with a bit of orange candy flavours but with some nicely judged acidity.
