Clos Clare Watervale Riesling / 2022 / 375mL

Description:

Riesling is the Clare Valley's signature variety and this is our sixth vintage from clos Clare's Riesling patch, adjoining the historic 'Florita' vineyard in Watervale. The 44-year-old dry grown vines were hand-harvested in early February and taken to The Wilson Vineyard at Polish Hill river, where they were chilled for 24 hours prior to whole bunch pressing and vinification.

This Watervale Riesling is a handcrafted wine that shows poise, elegence and character, which is indicative of this vineyard.

The Nose displays aromas of lifted green apple blosom, finger lime and bath salts. The palate has finese, generosity and structure, with a persistent mineral finish.

Patience and bottle maturation will reward you with secondary characteristics of honey and warm buttered toast.
