Product Overview

The Robert Stein Vineyard and cellar door is located just a short drive from the centre of Mudgee, in the Central West of New South Wales.

With a winegrowing family lineage dating back to 1838, the 25 year old vineyard produces award winning reds, whites and fortifieds.

Jacob Stein has a natural affinity with Riesling, having spent several years honis his skills in Europe, though all of his wines show a gentle hand and subtlety not usually found in Mudgee. Stein wines regularly show cool climate characters - ripeness at lower alcohols, and a great capacity for longevity.

Tasting Notes

Golden yellow in colour showing concentrated fruit, apricot, peach and marmalade characters on the nose. The palate is rich and luscious with layers of citrus and cumquat flavours. This Botrytis Semillon has been lightly matured in premium French oak and has lingering acidity with a long finish.
