It has the best characteristics of traditional California and old world Bordeaux.Winemaker Dennis Hill’s deep knowledge of the best California Cabernet Sauvignon climates, soil types and vineyards, upled with long-term relationships with premiere growers, allow sourcing for the finest grapes to craft the ultimate Cannonball flavor profile.

Winemaking:

We are thrilled to present our 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon. This year the fruit ripened easily with a moderate crop and typical warm and dry conditions. This vintage was aged 15 months in oak: 45% new, 80% French Medium Plus Toast, 20% American Medium Toast.

Aromas:

Features aromatic tiers of ripe mulberry, spiced black tea and purple floral notes. 

Taste and flavors:

The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon has dark fruit, black plum, spice and a hint of cocoa in the aromas. It is full in the palate with good concentration, dark fruit flavors and considerable structure in the finish. Pairs beautifully with burgers, NY steak, short ribs, lamb chops, pizza, pasta with bolognese sauce, Stilton cheese and chocolate desserts!
